- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed or appeared in the final year of their qualifying graduation level exam (B.A., B.Sc., B.Com. degree courses of three years) from the University of Allahabad or any other university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) or an equivalent examination recognized by Allahabad University.
Specific Eligibility Criteria for Different PG Courses
- Master of Arts (M.A.):
- Subject Candidates: Must have studied the subject in the third year of their graduation.
- Non-Subject Candidates: Can apply for subjects like English, Hindi, Medieval and Modern History, Political Science, Ancient History, Education, and Philosophy even if they have not studied them in the third year, provided they indicate them in the form at a proper place. Non-subject candidates do not have to appear for PGAT.
- Master of Commerce (M.Com.):
- Candidates must have a B.Com. degree or equivalent qualification.
- Candidates can indicate their choice for admission in two M.A. subjects for which they are eligible as non-subject candidates but must appear in only the commerce subject.
- Master of Science (M.Sc.):
- Subject Candidates: Must have studied the relevant science subject in the third year of their graduation.
- Non-Subject Candidates: Can apply for Statistics if they had Mathematics and Statistics at the graduation level or had studied Economics at least up to B.A. Part II.
- Economics:
- Candidates must have studied Economics/Mathematics/Statistics as one of the subjects at least up to B.Sc./B.A. Part II.
- Sociology and Psychology:
- Non-subject candidates can apply if they have scored at least 60% in any stream at graduation.
- Statistics:
- Non-subject candidates can apply if they had Mathematics and Statistics at the graduation level or had studied Economics as a subject at least up to B.A. Part II.
Application Fees for AU-PGAT 2024
The application fees for AU-PGAT 2024 vary based on the candidate’s category and the specific courses they are applying for:
- General Category and OBC/EWS Candidates:
- PGAT / LLB 3 Years Course: INR 1000
