  • Target houses: 2.95 crore
  • Houses sanctioned: 2.94 crore

  • Maharashtra has set a goal to build 7.27 lakh affordable houses under PMAY-U by December 2024, with 60% currently under construction as of August 2023.

  • Among the larger states, Telangana has made the most progress at 89.5% under PMAY-U, followed by Gujarat at 82.68%, and Tamil Nadu at 76.08%.
